"I live in Ellensburg and recently tried out Basalt for the first time. I almost felt a little out of place at such a fancy ritzy restaurant, good thing I dressed for the occasion! The service was very attentive and outstanding. I applaud and thank the staff, the restaurant was busy yet we had all we needed. It was almost like the bartender had telepathy or something. Food and drinks were amazing! Seriously amazing. Rack of lamb was incredibly tender. I think i’ll have to be back !"

Excellent food, very friendly staff! Very warm and welcoming atmosphere, live music at the opening of the night added a beautiful touch. Free Birthday Dessert a special addition to a fun date outing. We'll be back!

Amazing place to eat with delicious food and desserts! I got the cauliflower steak and it was fantastic! The sun-dried tomato sauce really pulled the whole dish together. Dessert is a must! The pastry cook must be sent by the gods themselves to make such amazing goodies.

So glad Ellensburg has such a place! We live in Oregon, but come here to visit my family and we are not disappointed by Basalt. Great wine selection! The food was very good. I think it will take time to train staff to be more knowledge about the menu and wine lists, but I hope they will be better with time. We'll probably go there every time we're in town. I hope to try out the roof strip, it was closed by wind (of course) on the day we went.
