See my first review below After our previous visit which was such a dissapointnent we was invited for Afternoon tea Deluxe to give a second try for a Bristol. When we arrived the table was already served with two cups, water, lemon and milk. Within 5 minutes we got a glass of Veuve Cliquot Champagne and in a few minutes later we got tea. Don 't hesitate to ask about pot with hot water as tea could be strong, it was a generous amount of tea leaves in it. After we had sandwiches pickled onion+goat cheese/cucumber+thyme cream cheese/scrambled eggs+salmon. Small bites: lobster salad on a crisp bread with caviar/crispy tart with caviar and cream...

the woman who worked the reservation line and sat in the restaurant was incredibly rude. there were open tables everywhere (for two people) and one line waited for the room. Maybe reservations and so, but sit two people when there are ten open two tops. I'm sure eating is great. the service was the worst thing I had in Oslo/Norway.

On the national holiday of May 17th, I enjoyed a special delicious open sandwich featuring shrimp, smoked salmon, or roast meat—each was delightful. The coffee came with free refills, and the cake was lovely as well. Everything was really nice, but be prepared for higher prices on this particular day, which felt a bit steep even for Norwegian standards.

I had afternoon tea at Hotel Bristol and was eager to try the pastries created by their new pastry chef. Prior to my visit, I had an incredible experience at Younes Elkhomr's bakery, which I highly recommend to other bakers. During brunch, I had the chance to indulge in some delicious goose skin, but the real highlights for me were the cookies and brioche, which were delightful surprises. I also ordered an additional éclair because I couldn’t resist; it might just be one of the best pastries I've ever had. I'm definitely looking forward to returning to taste the Napoleon cake. Everything else was pleasant, but I would gladly go back just for the baked goods!
