"The first time and a great experience. I didn't want to stand at the bar and wait for bartenders to help everyone before we sit, but everything else was great. Our waitress Melissa was very friendly and helpful with suggestions. My wife and I really chased a quality steak and were disappointed. My son really wanted the tuna fish to be sad, so he went with Mac and cheese that came with a beautiful chocolate chip cookie Brownie Dessert. Waitress proposes old fashion and they were good. The woman ended with cream crumble and I had the cheesecake. Both were great. Great meal with nice staff. Was checked for enough, but give room to enjoy meal. he opens new and incredibly improved Bootlegger from 2022. The ambience is spectacular inside and outside. The bar is beautiful. A cross between a Ralph Lauren bar and a speech lesson. The food was excellent. Had the salmon and the bones in Ribeye. Shrimp and French onion soup wee also excellent. Come on! Nice to finally eat a few 5 stars in the forest.

What a funny evening at Bootleggers. Beautiful view of Lake Nokomis from the spacious bar and new deck. Our bartenders were friendly and accommodating delicious grass shopper, thank you. Dinner was just as delicious, we tried the Lobster Bisque, House Salad, The Mouthpiece (broiled Walleye) and The Dillinger (Atlantic Salmon, crushed with crab meat and Hollindaise sauce and asparagus spear... all super. Our server was energetic, their Northwoods hospitality was real and fun. It's nice that we have to enjoy the historical ambience before Bunny retired. Have fun.

Wow! What story, what fantastic food, what atmosphere! Travelers told us to go here and it was expensive, but excellent. I thought the prices weren't bad either. I love the work of art on the walls and found out that they were portraits painted by someone who stayed back on the day of his wife and sisters. So enjoyed this place their new porch should open on weekends and have to go back. I had so much Walleye left that there were three fish tacos when I came home! They ran out of the special steak on Saturday night, were initially disappointed, but found something else just as good.
