"I have always liked the Bootshaus for its views and that you can watch people punt and row on the river. I like the new looks too but I don 't think the food has improved much. Starters were hessische Tapas , with a Greene Sosse that was too runny, a fried sausage that only tasted salty and greasy, a Spundekaes cheese that was probably bought ready-made and a moderately good Handkaes mit Musik (if you like that type of strong cheese). The main was supposed to be a pork meat skewer (meat was nicely cooked) with a creamy mushroom sauce, but there was nothing resembling a creamy sauce. Instead a gravy that tasted suspiciously of glutamate (probably ready-made). The salad was mostly green leave...

I'd rather have drinks here, but we had lunch with our family. The waiting staff must point out that if you have children, they must quickly take over the order they did not. The carvings and burgers we ordered were nothing special, only average food, so my proposal is a good place to meet friends for drinks because of the view and atmosphere.

I liked to come here before on my annual trip to friends and colleagues for a conference. Eating is ok, standard German pub food, sometimes a bit greasy, but the view and atmosphere are great. Yesterday waitress was openly a disaster and I would let her go! Drilled/uninterested posture, minimal conversation with us, really did not want to be there. Obviously no training in the gastronomy. When I joked with her that the parts were so big that we couldn't finish her, she actually said that 's a shame and a face made!? Unacceptable!
