"The hike around Bedburg is behind us. My wife, two friendly couples, and I went through the historic town of Alt Kaster, whose inhabitants have successfully resisted the excavation of the historical village of Rheinbraun AG in the fifties of the last century. Alt Kaster – a Gallic village on the edge of the demolition edge! From Alt Kaster we tipped to Bedburg Castle, then back to Lake Kastersee and through recultivated landscapes – former abdomen – back to Alt Kaster. Here we reserved the cottage Danielshof for the evening slumber. In the following, I will only describe my food and drinks and the food and drinks of my wife in a cursor. Hotel and restaurant of Danielshof, a former farm, are located in Alt Kaster Hauptstraße in the courtyard of a historic brick building. You can reach the courtyard by a powerful arch. Landhaus Danielshof The entrance to the Bistro Danielshof (see separate entrance at GG) is located on the right side of the Torbogen. Landhaus Danielshof The restaurant is located in the former barn of the Gutshof. It immediately makes a cozy impression: light brown tables, beautiful and professional covered, light brown chairs with padded seats. The bright walls, richly decorated, and the bright ceiling contrast to the brown furniture. In a corner of the inviting guest room there is a round table, on which stands a magnificent bouquet of roses in a wreath of dark red hydralases, white fresias, pink white Gerbera and efeu flowers in a vase, reserved for us six. Flowers on the table At night we feel at home. The cosy ambience and, above all, the unique table decoration deserve a more than good rating: four and a half stars. Service We are welcomed by a young lady at the reception. In the guest room we welcome a friendly young man who leads us to our table. The young man and a young lady serve us in the evening. You make your job extremely professional, are very attentive, friendly anyway and hospitable. The young man is noticed by his deep knowledge of the drinks offered. Even after that, I don't think of anything that could be improved by this service. The young man and the young lady deserve the highest rating for their service: five stars. After we have taken place, the young lady is enough to have the menu. The offer is Mediterranean, good-bourgeois and international dishes can also be found on the map. The offer is sometimes slightly increased, but still within the scope. We have the torment of choice from the tempting offer. Finally we order with the young Gentleman • Rumpsteak (200 g on red wine sauce with roasted puffs, French french fries and a summer salad (29.50 € for my wife and from the day offer); Rindsfilet with plums and rosemary spelts (27,50 € for me). Our friends take the onion frogs from the Argentinian Roastbeef with bacon beans and wedges (23.50 € , • turkey steak (200 g with herbal butter, fries and salad plate (17.50 € , •Flamm cake Alsace type with Schmand, cream fraiche, bacon and onions). My wife starts with a bottle of mineral water from Granus (0.75 l to 6.20 € and I with a King Pilsener (0.3 l to 3.20 €). Our friends also order Köpi, mineral water and an alcohol-free Erdinger white beer (5.50 € half litre). We don't wait long for the exemplary cooled drinks. And a little later, the young lady serves us the greeting from the kitchen. Greetings from the kitchen The kitchen is greeted with bread, butter and dip. Three different varieties of crispy fresh bread lie in a silver dish and taste with butter, herbs cucumber and a tomato cream. The waiting period for our six dishes is reasonable. My wife serves the young lady the Rumpsteak on red wine sauce with plaster, frits and salads. Rumpsteak on red wine sauce with fried cakes, frits and a summer salad The Rumpsteak is located on small plums, framed by the red wine sauce, two cherry tomatoes and a neat part of golden-yellowed fries and doubted fried onions and herbs. The steak is tender and roasted as a desired medium. The small cut seedlings on which it lies are fried and surrounded by a delicious red wine sauce. The fried onion rings and the likewise fried, small-cut rocket in topping are both beautifully dry and not oily. The French frits are of the genus Fine Cut Pommes, slightly salted. The salad consists mainly of Lollo bionda, on a bed of small cut paprika, tomatoes and carrots, mixed with corn grains, limited by tomato apples, cucumber slices and acorn salad. We crowned all the red and white spits. The basis of salad dressing consists of a vinegar oil mustard mixture with a particularly smokey note. The wandering friend recalls a barbecue sauce on the smokey note, while my lover Pimenton de la Vera, where the red chili or paprika show particles in the bathroom. The service Lady serves the beef fillet with piping and rosemary spices. Beef fillet with seedlings and rosemary The beef fillet also thrones on small cut seedlings, is framed by six potato columns and two cherry tomatoes and is also doubled by roasted onions and herbs. The meat is extremely delicate and roasted in exemplary pink. It's not about Röstaroma. I am so excited about the steak that I put it in my Filetsteak favorites category. There's nothing to put on the rosemary apples. I taste a bright rosemary aroma, the potato columns are slightly browned on the shell. The roasted onions are crispy and pleasantly roasted. Together with them, the meat lets my taste nerves cheer. I don't write the dishes of our friends, but give them back on the picture. We are very satisfied with the performance of the kitchen. Our two hiking couples are also more than satisfied with their dishes. Except for the turkey steak, they all enter the note for their court. The wandering friend with the turkey steak makes a slight glimpse at her farm because of the pommes that were no longer as hot as they should have been, so a minus. After the young lady gave us the menu for dessert selection again, my wife ordered the daily offer, a cinnamon parfait (5.50 €). I decide for the cheese trio with grapes and salt biscuits (8 €). One of our hikers also chooses the cinnamon parfait, the others choose • Panna cotta with peach slices and kiwi slices (650 €). The waiting time is also suitable for desserts. My wife and my wandering brother are happy about the presentation of cinnamon parfaits. Zimtparfait Meisterlich drapiert auf einer Schiefertafel presents a composition of parfait – with kept cinnamon note and light caramel cover and cream – and fruity supplement that is held with chocolate sticks. In the middle of the table there is a small bowl with hot cherries in a slightly cinnamon sauce. All in all, my wife and the wandering brother praise a very tasty composition that suggests a creative cook. My cheese trio is also served on a slate table, accompanied by a bread basket. Cheese trio with grapes and salt biscuits Bread to the cheese trio Three soft cheeses – blue mold, camembert and red cheese – are located next to rocket, red grapes, a physalis, a raspberry, a blackberry, three small salt pulp and two papules butter on the slate table. Three slices of pumpernickel and three other slices of fresh ciabattas serve as a companion to the cheese. The cheese tastes with the bread, especially with the pumpkin, and the butter is excellent. But also the salt pulp and the cheese perfectly fit together. Our friends are desserts. Panna cotta with peach columns and kiwi slices garnished Coupe Danmark As with the main courts, we are all six very satisfied with the desserts. No one loses a critical word, quite on the contrary: here too is a hint for the desserts. In the meantime, I and one of our hiking brothers landed at the wine drinks. I süffel a • Durbacher Grauburgunder from Baden, dry (0.2 l for 6,90 € , Wanderfreund a • Durbacher Klingelberger, Riesling, Baden, QBA, dry (also 0.2 l for 6,90 €). Finally, I still support a • Flake Finesse raspberry brand (0.02 l for 7,50 € and my wife a • espresso (2,20 €). The young serviceman offers me a mild and sharply burned spirit, I choose the sharp. Both fires are wonderfully oily and run smooth and velvety into the neck. I would prefer the mild raspberry brandy again. The espresso is as he must be, he tastes my wife well and is beautifully hot. My assessment and assessment of my wife for food and drinks, but also the assessment of our friends, is unanimous. There are full five stars for the kitchen performance. The cleanliness tables, dishes and cutlery are perfectly clean. The toilets are also well maintained and clean. Four stars for cleanliness seem appropriate to us. The price-performance ratio While prices for individual offers are slightly higher. Nevertheless, the price-performance ratio is more than a good assessment given the service and food and beverage offer. We give four and a half stars. The conclusion We recommend the Danielshof without restriction. We had a very nice evening, were excellently served and got delicious and well prepared dishes. A visit to the Danielshof is definitely worth it. We also let the chef know that after our desserts comes into the guest room and with which we keep a chat and praise his kitchen. After the couple-related payment, partly cash, partly with credit card, we stroll through the beautifully located restaurant terrace in the hotel's park to our nearby car park."
