Lovely cafe in Wismar with outdoor seating. Perfect for breakfast with a range of set options but also the opportunity to assemble a breakfast of choice a la carte (scrambled eggs, musli, fruit salad). Sunday morning very busy, The cakes looked also fantastic.

Yesterday we visited Wismar and stopped for coffee at this little place close to the Schabbel Museum we had just visited. I arrived ahead of the rest of the family. First impression: terrible, the waiter really did not want to be there and after ignoring...me for minutes I was greeted with a Was wollen sie denn .(what do you want....not even good morning ....ah well from then on things improved when his very friendly female colleague took over and we had a nice coffee and some Kuchen to go with it.

Went there on this sunny September afternoon last weekend. We found it just by accident, but oh were we lucky! At the moment there are works on the street up in front, so there's no sitting outside as I've seen on some pictures, but anyway...I much preferred the little idyllic backyard where you can find some tables under a huge walnut tree. But only when the cake was brought they really had me! I had the cheesecake (Käsetorte) that you can see on some pictures- the one with the raspberries on top and I relished every second of it. It was seriously heaven and as I'll be staying on in Wismar for a few weeks more that won't be the last of me that they have seen! Marvelous!
