"I've wanted to try HSH since I moved into the neighborhood last fall, and boy am I glad I finally made the time! We arrived at the very tail end of Sunday brunch, but were greeted warmly by Donna, and seated right away. Given the late hour, the kitchen was understandably out of some items, but we were very happy with what we ordered: pancakes, French toast, yams, turkey bacon and a really delicious raspberry iced tea that Natalie made. (Don't bother asking for the recipe... she's not telling! :)It's easy to overlook this place because of where it's located a strip by City College without much foot traffic but it's absolutely worth making yourself acquainted with this block of Amsterdam Aven...

Great neighborhood restaurant with classic standards- I had the waffles and fried chicken- yum!!! Real Maple syrup and gooood coffee!

This place was a 10 out of 10! Service was amazing, the music was on point, the food was cooked with OHIO love from Miss Donna! I’ll be back every time I’m in the city!!! Black owed, go support our people!!!

I went to the restaurant this morning and ordered the grits and shrimp. The food was a little on the salty side. I really did not enjoy my food this morning and I was hungry. That restaurant usually has great food. I just don't understand what happened today. I ate there plenty of times, and I will try it again. But, if it continues to serve me salty food. I will take my foodie a some place else.
