"Let start this off that there are far too many places out here that like to claim they 're a real New York Pizza. I 'm surprised no one has opened up a place called Gino Spaghetti 's Absolutely Positively New York Pizza . Every time a place has to claim they 're real NY pizza you will be disappointed. In fact if a place has claims they 're real NY pizza that should be your red flag. Real NYC pizzerias don 't call themselves real pizzerias . (Although a lot of them will call themselves 'Ray 's Famous Original ' but that 's a whole other story) That being said the place does have a real NY feel and authenticity when you walk in. The pizza is okay but let 's be honest here, it 's not real NYC...

As New Yorkers we liked the pizza and have been loyal customers for years, but I'm done ordering from them. Pizza was delivered to the wrong house and it took them 18 calls and 3 hours to replace the order. We had 13 kids that we're waiting for their dinner

This is my favorite pizza. I absolutely love it. I will say it is crazy over priced. I ordered a family sized Cesar salad for 3 people for $16.95. It is meant to feed 6 people but it was so small. I get really bothered when ish is overpriced and they cheap out. The cheeze pizza is good tho.

I've had pizza in New York many times, and while I think Johnny's crust shape, thickness, and taste is more California style than authentic New York, they make pretty darn good pizza here! I especially like that you can buy their pizza by the slice or by the pie; too many pizza places in California insist on serving pies only : On my first visit, I was pleased to note that the restaurant was clean and the cashier was both engaging and friendly. On the downside, the prices here are a lot more Newport Beach than NYC, but I suppose.
