"Mekong Cafe has finally opened their doors today for lunch after construction permit approvals pushed back its original end-November opening date...yahoo! The outside of the restaurant still needs little work, but the inside is awesome! With lots of windows and high ceilings, the space looks very big and open. This new location can fit almost 200 people! Loved their interior decorations, I personally found the pictures very soothing and relaxing. The whole staff team is great! Very friendly and attentive. Now the food...what new can I say? It’s all the good old tasty foods :P I went there with my younger kid, so ordered #10: Beef Broccoli and #12: Chicken Drunken Noodles from their lunch sp...

It used to be tons better in its original location. It's pretty good food but not nearly amazing. Rather sad really. Service was decent. Building is nice and roomy.

This has been one of my all time favorite restaurants for the past five years. The new location is bigger, less crowded, and a great atmosphere. Brenda and the staff are always attentive and friendly. You MUST TRY the bbq beef. It comes with a delicious Thai spice sauce and delicious sticky rice. The quality is always consistent and I’m never disappointed!

Had lunch there with friends. Service was quick and food was good. We got Tom yum goong soup pot which was a lot for 4 ppl so we had to take the rest home. They also have a nice lunch menu. We ordered the hot level of spiciness for soup and it was very good. For our food, we ordered the highest level called authentic and it was really hot and we loved it. (For reference we are Indians who usually eat hot food). Overall, a pretty good experience.

"We must have done something wrong here as Del Barrio has so many high star reviews but that was not our experience. 1st, very different experience based on where you sit. We were a party of 2 during a busy time. We were put at a 2 top a few inches away from other 2 person tables. We could hear EVERY word the tables next to us said and I'm sure everything we said was heard by them. 2nd, the menu/value. This is my own fault but I still hold them accountable for the inconsistency. Waiter asked if we wanted chips and salsa, which is included, we said yes, he then asked if we wanted cheese (queso dip) with those. Chips were still free but queso was $12. I also added chili verde to my birria burrito which cost an additional $4.50. I asked for melted cheese and that was left out. Both of us ordered burritos and for the base price the portions are fair but careful adding anything to it. 3rd, food quality. The chips and queso was really good, but still not anywhere close to $12+ good. But the burritos were mostly refried beans that were extremely bland. We're talking sub Taco Bell quality beans. Picture showed maybe 20% beans in the burritos, additionally beans were listed as the 3rd/4th ingredient in the burritos but both of our burritos were 80% bean and very little meat. Imagine the beans from 2 Taco Bell bean and cheese burritos, with out the onions and red sauce, packed into a larger tortilla with a little bit of beef sprinkled in and that was the burritos we got. So after getting a bill for $50 (only 1 soda ordered) and below Taco Bell quality, I felt it was my moral imperative to warn others. I'm not saying don't go here, as I'm sure they have some good food there or there wouldn't be so many great reviews but we sure didn't find anything worth more than $5."
