"Nannie Franco's was absolutely fantastic! It shares the same owners and concept as Nina's Trattoria, offering three courses served family-style. For the first course, we enjoyed meatballs, burrata salad, and a traditional flatbread with garlic knots and focaccia. The second course featured gnocchi Gorgonzola, chicken Parmesan, and tagliardi bolognese. For dessert, we indulged in cannolis and zeppolis. The restaurant is cozy and intimate, with limited seating for their family-style dinners on Mondays and Tuesdays. This is a must-try dining experience, and we will definitely be returning!"

Hard to beat a $3 slice of tomato pie! They’re currently serving out of a window (though they have outdoor seating available) and you can pay via Venmo as they heat your slice up.

We had an amazing dinner at Nannie Franco's. The homemade pastas were delicious and the portion sizes were perfect for sharing with the whole table. It's great to know that Nannie Franco's is owned by the same people as Ninas Trattoria and that they offer the same family-style menu. We are thrilled that they brought it back and that it is still a BYOB restaurant. We can't wait to come back again soon!

I discovered this place a couple of weeks ago and it became my favorite! Best pizza I have tried in a long time!!! The tomato pie and the Margarita are top notch! Pizza is excellent! The crust the sauce and even better than the pizza itself, is the friendly service of the guys working there. Specially Roberto (I think that was his name), very kind man. Now, every time I go down to South Silly, I have to stop at the Italian market to get a slice of pizza. It's addictive!!!!

"We were there celebrating two birthdays. Our server Faith was wonderful. She was attentive without being intrusive and knowledgeable about the menu. We were a table of 6 and ordered quite a bit of food, some of which was great and others lackluster. The bao buns were great and the small calamari salad was huge and those who had it said delicious. The spareribs were good as well as the edamame dumplings, although the way those were served made it hard to fully enjoy. Each dumpling should be on a individual type spoon so you can enjoy the soup part as well as the dumpling. The way they were served in one large bowl with only one spoon made it so the soup part is left at the bottom. I did request extra spoons from the expediter but they never came. The worst part of our appetizer course was somehow an item was switched to another in the computer and served to us. It had shellfish in it and that wasn’t known when someone at our table who doesn’t eat shellfish ate it. The sashimi was good but the tuna tartare thing was really bad. The entrees we had were the duck, which I was told was delicious, the miso cod, which was fishy, the whole fish which was tasteless, the lobster fried rice, which was okay but lacking flavor. The best dish was the black pepper beef, it was delicious and elegantly served. We had all the sides and all were quite good especially the eggplant and the wasabi mashed potatoes. It was a nice evening but it felt a little stale for a Starr restaurant."
