"This was a last minute selection for a Saturday evening dinner. While I thought our entrées were generally pretty tasty, in the end this is basically run-of-the-mill red sauce, Italian at a pretty high price for the area. The calamari appetizer that we shared was most likely frozen, and seemed to be a little well-done. two of us had the chicken Albonetti, which we enjoyed my husband had the short ribs which he enjoyed very much but at $38 it is really fully priced.Also…We were told that the entrées came with potatoes and vegetables, but there were no vegetables served. There was another strange issue when we paid the bill, we were five people and one person was paying for three on his credit card and I was paying for two people on my credit card, but they couldn’t figure out how to handle it. The final insult is that they add a 3.5% surcharge if you pay with a credit card. Obviously in this day and age everybody pays with a credit card so it is pretty shady to add this on top of your final dinner bill. If your restaurant is performing that poorly, raise your prices a little bit to cover the cost of credit cards and don’t insult your customers with a surcharge.Sorry to say, but this place seems like it’s on its last legs."

"Friday, 29th april I ordered buffalo chicken hero with cheeses and I was very disappointed. the buffalo chicken sandwich literally floated in a pool of what tasted like simple hot sauce. there was so much buffalo sauce that when I was in the sand, the, all stopped fell out. there was also hardly salate and tomaten on the sandwich. make sure that I had ordered this sandwich once before and it was fantastic, but it seems that they could not be consistent when ordering under pressure from too many. because of the hero with so much sauce, it was totally soggy and was quite rough doctoring on the order of the cheeses I ordered. I was very happy with the riders at the beginning until I came to the bottom of the dose and the riders floated in a puddy. I was not very satisfied with that. I can understand a little oil, but all the frits on the floor were covered in a dressing of oil. I'm very disappointed, because every other time I was here, I enjoyed eating her. I would rather wait the extra time and be prepared for my food directly, then it will be rushed and prepared as it was last night. let me add that the owner is very friendly and almost let me go with my food for free, but I wouldn't leave him. I would have told him I haven't paid yet. be more consistent. I don't care that I have to wait for my order, just make it right"

"What a great place. Food was excellent. Calamari was tender and dry, not chewing or greasy. The Zuppa. Di. Pesce. Was really a sea of seafood. Yummy. The Rosa Gialla. It was excellent. The seafood in all dishes were super fresh and delicious. A must try. Dessert didn't disappoint. They were enough but not too heavy or rich"

"Let me tell you, the absolute dumpster fire that is the meal we had at this restaurant. We ordered a cheese steak and a wrap with prime rib. Simple, no? Two sandwiches and one cocktail: $60 The side salad (greens and shredded carrots) and the water were legitimately the most edible part of the meal. First, the cheese steak: Old. Dry. Flavorless. With a side of Mac and Cheese that was: Dry, cold, flavorless, lacking cheese broken to bits and obviously had been sitting in a warming tray for far too long. Second, the prime rib wrap: I bit down on several chunks of large bone. Ow. Tough, dry, grey meat that when I took a bite, the entire wrap was ripped apart due to how tough it was. Now I will say that the wrap was made well enough and the flavor was okay. But I 'm not paying 20 bucks for quarter sized chunks of bone and questionable grey meat. Also, my fries, though warm and crispy, were grey and saturated in oil. Oil that tastes like the fryer has never had a deep clean. Thirdly. A $12 martini that was basically pineapple juice and Malibu. It tasted awful. (No shade to whoever made it, I know they didn 't design the drink proportions) Finally, I can handle bad food. I 'm not afraid to admit when I 'm not happy and I 'm not looking for a free meal. However, there was not a single person of authority in the restaurant to address the complaint. Not a manager, not an owner. That 's the real issue here. I don 't expect a five star meal at a restaurant like this. But this place needs HELP--leadership and better food, or at least, lower your prices if you 're gonna serve slop. Also the servers are great."

"My much anticipated visit to this location turned out to be a bust in all the areas I base this review. Our seating in the main dining room was loud crowded. The dreaded common bench' squeezed multiple tables together so that one had to be very mindful about not brushing up against a neighbor's table. The noise level was so high, my wife and I were unable to carry on a normal conversation. The food was the next disappointment. I appreciate well plated dishes, but it must work. Mine did not. I ordered the Faroe Island Salmon. The delicata squash was a pile of squash rings with the rind still attached. Edible, perhaps, but they were hard and chewy. An advertised green chili sauce was replaced with a smear of butternut squash (the same bit of starch on my wife's chicken dish-except her's was cold). Anticipating a little spice, I ordered a wine to accompany the dish, but it tasted and felt as it had been opened weeks earlier and left uncorked under the bar. Both our desserts looked and tasted as if they just come off a caterer's tray. The coffee was only warm and tasted as if it had been made that morning or the night before. There was nothing that would make me want to give the Old Stone House Restaurant a second chance."
