"Our family was craving Greek food and was pleasantly surprised to find a Greek restaurant in our area of the Schwarzwald. When we arrived, on a week night at 8pm, the restaurant was full. We were greeted at the door immediately by the proprietor and...welcomed warmly. We waited about 10 minutes for our table but it was well worth the wait. At our request, the owner recommended a wine for us and we ordered appetizers and main dishes. I was skeptical about the wine because I have never had a Greek wine that I wanted to drink again. The wine was very nice. Sauvignon Blanc blended with a traditional grape from Santorini. I would certainly order it again in our next visit. The appetizers arrived quickly and were fresh and delicious. Pan fried feta, fresh calamari grilled to perfection, and eggplant with tzatziki. Our main course selections ranged from lamb to pastizio to swordfish. The lamb was tender and cooked perfectly. The pastizio tasted like someone's Yia Yia was in the kitchen and was some of the best I have ever had. The really special thing for me though was the swordfish. Fresh saltwater fish is hard to come by in this area of Germany. For sure this fish came fresh from the Paris fish market right to our table. It was a huge piece of fish for the price and was expertly cooked with just the right amount of seasoning. I would return just for that. All of our entrees were accompanied by a mixed salad and small fried potatoes. Everything was delicious. The portions were very generous. I would have definitely been satisfied with a salad and the calamari appetizer. The children ordered the pastizio and I would definitely suggest this dish for children, but next time they will split one order as we came home with an entire meal. No problem. We had it for lunch the next day and it was as good, if not better than the night before! Just the smell of it when I took it out of the refrigerator was awesome. The restaurant owner was very friendly and concerned with our experience and pleasure. He rounded out the meal with small glasses of ouzo for us and gummy bears for the children. The entire meal and experience was delightful and we will definitely return. If you're looking for Greek food in the Black Forest region this should be your choice. You won't be disappointed."

"Hatte geschäftlich in Nagold zu tun und bin im Waldhorn gelandet. Vom Namen her würde man keine italienische Küche erwarten. Wurde freundlich begrüßt und konnte mir einen schönen Platz aussuchen. Nach der Getränkebestellung kam auch schon prompt ein Gruß aus der Küche. Hatte mir einen Rucola Salat mit Parmesan und als Hauptspeise Scaloppina mit Parmaschinken bestellt. Hat beides sehr gut geschmeckt. Als Beilage gab es einen extra Teller mit Gemüse und Kartoffeln. Leider war das Gemüse, insbesondere der Brokkoli schon sehr verkocht. Hatte das Gefühl, dass dort viele Stammgäste waren. Ebenso dass es sich um einen Familienbetrieb handelt bei dem vom Papa bis zum jüngsten Enkel alle vorhanden waren. Hat mir gut gefallen. So stellt man sich eine große Familie vor."

"Habe am 07.04.2017 meinen 60.Geburtstag im Gasthof Eisenbahn gefeiert.Meine Gäste wie auch ich waren von den angebotenen Speisen total begeistert. Jeder Gast erhielt sein Fleisch genauso gebraten wie er es bestellt hatte. Das Essen war ein absoluter Genuss. Zudem war alles auch sehr liebevoll dekoriert.Das Bedienungspersonal bewirtete uns sehr freundlich, ausgesorochen flink und sehr aufmerksam, obwohl im Lokal fast alle Plätze belegt waren.Die schlechten Bewertungen sind in keiner Weise nachvollziehbar.Spreche für die Gaststätte Eisenbahn eine klare Weiterempfehlung aus !!!Vielen Dank, komme sehr gerne wieder"

"Einfache Einrichtung aber sizilianische Freundlichkeit, sehr offener und super Service. Nun zum 3ten mal mit unterschiedlich vielen Personen innerhalb einem Jahr hier. Mann sollte hier durchaus auch unter der Woche reservieren. Tageskarte/ Empfehlungen jedes Mal ein Volltreffer. Pasta mit Fisch und/ oder Meeresfrüchte und Kalbfleisch in unterschiedlichsten Variationen sind des Chefs Lieblinge und immer zu empfehlen. Wenn gut besucht ist dauert es etwas länger, das liegt aber an der Qualität des Essens und das hier wirklich alles frisch zubereitet wird."
