"My husband and I spent a day with Santa Barbara and couldn't wait to taste the pizza. Patxi’s was a short walk from our hotel. We were shown one of the street-side tables that we thought was perfect! Unfortunately no one ever made eye contact with us, brought us menus or water, or came by to take our order. We noticed that the people sitting at the bar were waiting for the bartender who was really enthusiastic. After 15 minutes we rose and moved to the bar, after we first told the hostess why we did. Pizza was good, also meatballs. It was a bit cool because it's an open restaurant. There is a bar with TV screens with sporting events. Many families. Service was excellent.

Nice location on State Street. A decent atmosphere. Very expensive for what you get. 14 pizza for $23. The ones I ordered are very slandered. The pesto was better. I asked if they had other Suaces next to Marinara and the waiter said no. Strangely, they had no base sauce options. Can not recommend due to high price and marginal food. Maybe. I caught her on a bad day.

We came to birthday and had a big group. The staff was friendly and accommodating. My low rating is because some of us ordered deep dish pizzas and they came well after the rest of our group had finished eating. And it wasn't my favorite pizza. I wish the server had warmed us before the order (or the menu noticed) that deep dishes pizzas last at least 45 minutes. We would have ordered differently and probably had a better experience.
