"A lovely setting in the context of a book store, nestled in a cozy corner with ambience and natural lighting! Yes our party of 5 included a call for a reservation with a pleasant and accommodating staff experience, which ensued upon arrival. Excellent selection and...choices for flavours spanning a multitude of palates. Our selections for appetizers were delicious and spot-on. 4 out of 5 entree selections were plenty of food for light and heavy appetites, however the French meat-pie was less desirable, bland and dry. We will return!"

we were at breakfast. service was exceptional and everyone was very friendly. eating was amazing. eating came hot and as ordered. the atmosphere is really nice in this restaurant. clean and bright. I am back.

this is my third time here in the beautiful prairie ink restaurant, in the back of mcnally robinson in the grant park mall....below the books .with the sun come in every big window....lovely little space. very friendly and fair fast service....and any meal we have...hat was delicious, unique and enjoyed....we would recommend this restaurant for its selection of dips, friendly service and the beautiful location....cheers

Housed in the McNally Robinson Bookstore (which is worth a visit itself! , Prairie Ink is a warm and cozy restaurant, perfect for friends catching up and families enjoying a meal. The menu has something for everyone from delicious soups to pastas, with accessible flavours reminiscent...of homestyle cooking. The desserts are not to be missed! From sacher to raspberry tarts, this is the perfect place to sample more than one of these treats.

"we had a reservation, but still waited about 20mins. to sit table. a thing I don't like at the keg is also, I always find it too dim in there. it was a Saturday night, so it was very loud with all the people around. then we're not at the weekends again, weeks are okay. otherwise the food was good as expected. our server was great, cheers to her- kara d. overall, would still recommend."

"we love the keg. we want to be able to afford more often. we love the main rib, but at this visit they were sold out. So we ordered another meat cut. as the photo shows, it was a teller of French fritten with. a side of meat for $35 (plus control)! I don't know what we'll do in the future. the service was as usual very good."

"It was a weekday and we stopped in for a late brunch. We were seated in the dining room and ordered the eggs benedict and the crepes. Œufs Bénédicte Eggs Benedict 14 Toasted English muffin topped with two poached eggs and hollandaise. Served with...breakfast potatoes Choose One: ham or smoked trout or tomato spinach Crêpes jambon suisse Ham Swiss Crêpes 12 Two crêpes stuffed and baked with ham, Bothwell Swiss cheese and two Nature’s Farm scrambled eggs. I had ordered the Benedict in the past, and forgot to ask the server not to included the potatoes, because I prefer something lighter. But when they came I nibbled on them and they are quite nice. The hollandaise was smooth, maybe not quite as good, in my opinion as last time but my taste buds could just be off. Eggs were cooked to my liking and the bacon (back) was also very tasty. Muffins were soft and fresh. The crepe was a very substantial portion and it was very nice, per my friend and I had a wee bite and agreed. I would order it next time. The coffee and tea refills were plentiful and the prices fair. We were there for a good long time and were not rushed one iota. When we left and passed the dessert case on our way out, I wished we had maybe tried a peice of one of the delectable choices. Dangerous to linger there unless your willpower is very strong."

"When we go to Nicolino's for dinner we always ask for Ken and a table by the window. Ken is very personable and knowledgeable about the complete menu. We are also greeted and treated as if we were family."

"We chose to eat on the bar side when we got there. It had seemed to have cozier feel to it. Waiter was friendly and then the bartender came over to say hi and help us make choices: Dry ribs, onion soup, and an amazing chicken entree with a nice dry Chardonnay from USA. In the end we enjoyed the food, the service and the atmosphere. Last time we were there on the restaurant side it was a so-so experience. This reminded us why we like this place. We'll stick to the bar side from now on."
