Riverbend - Meny

River Bend was s total surprise. The food and the service was superb. The chef checked on us a number of times and his wife was our server. Everything was prepared on site. All our food came out hot and fresh. If you're in Marshall, Jefferson or Shreveport, River Bend is a short drive and well worth it. You won't be disappointed.

Bend around Big Pines and eat over the water. We have always liked RiverBend. This place showed up years ago in the wake of Bayou Landing closing and old Big Pines burning down. It is a nice restaurant with a good view over a canal of Caddo especially if you sit in the outdoor screened in room above the water. It can be hotter there but there are fans. The food is good and made better by the setting. The fried catfish is just that and the French fries are fried. People come here too for the hush puppies, Jalapeno or not with the beans and cole slaw....the initial set up. Many people have made a meal just off of those. The redfish and fried green tomatoes and gator bites are good. The service...

This place had better reviews than the other place, so we chose it. Great location on the river. View from the second story screened in deck is outstanding! Such a good place to watch the boaters. The staff couldn't have been any better. Prices were a little high, but that's normal for a place like this. Mike got a salad. The setup, which comes with most meals, was fantastic. The beans were good. The coleslaw and the HUGE hush puppies were SO good! Mike took a little and I finished it off. Just couldn't stop with the hush puppies. My grilled redfish and veggies came out and looked quite good. As in other reviews, about a spoonful of topping in the middle of the fish. I tried to spread it out...
