"The Bagel Shop is a MUST visit if you 're in Homer. It has been posited that you can 't get good New York Style bagels here in Alaska. Sorry, i disagree. The Bagel Shop is an unassuming, deceptively urbane looking storefront, in an industrial area of town, it 's certainly not on the main drag of Homer, but that does not affect how busy it gets. Inside the entryway, you 'll order your bagel, from the chalkboard with the choices of what 's available. There are cold drinks in a chiller, if you desire, or get coffee or tea if that 's your preference. The menu is quite extensive, from what looks to be such a tiny eatery, but don 't be fooled tables are around the back. You can get bagels, soups,...

They're amazing! I tried them for the first time on a recent trip to Homer and had to stop by twice!

A bit hetic on weekend mornings but well worth the wait. The best bagels in Alaska in my humble opinion) Get a bagel sandwich which is more than large enough for two meals. Just stop in, you won't regret it.

We tried this place twice when we were visiting Homer from Anchorage. There are a shortage of bagels in Alaska! These are boiled NY style bagels. The first time we went was in the afternoon kind of later and they had about 4 flavors. We just wanted to try so we got the smoked salmon shmear on an onion bagel. The bagel had huge pieces of dried onion all over the top, it was good. The smoked salmon cream cheese spread was very good as well. Had capers in it which were ok. Also got a chocolate chip cookie which was delicious too. Second time we came it was around 8:30 in the morning and they had more flavors, and kept putting them out while we were standing there waiting for our order. So if th...

"Visited Wasabi on a Thursday at about 5pm, they now require reservations so be sure to call already! Anyway, we were unaware of the new changes so we walked in but they were able to seat us which was amazing. They have spaced out all of the tables and have limited the capacity. All servers are wearing masks and I think I saw some with gloves. We came wanting sushi so we were happy to be able to eat inside. They also have a patio that has an amazing view of the mountains. Anyway, we ordered the Duck Pizza and the Alaska roll. We had our waters filled right away but the next time took a out 30 minutes even after we had drained our cups about 5 minutes after receiving it but it wasn't a deal breaker. But, the service was definitely slow. I could tell a lot of to-go or delivery orders were taking place but because my brother and I had nowhere else to be, it wasn't a big deal. Our pizza arrived after 30-40 minutes, piping hot and out of the oven. DO NOT SKIP THIS PIZZA. IT'S A WORK OF ART. This could easily fill one person, or two if you aren't that hungry. But this is hands down without a doubt the best pizza I've ever had. Read the menu for the full details but it has fig reduction, havarti and gryuere cheese, roasted garlic and onions, the duck bacon and more. If nothing else, just get it to take a picture with. Our sushi in total was probably an hour after we ordered but there was only one sushi chef working at the time and will all of the to-go orders including many many sushi rolls, he was extremely busy. Once the roll was done he even ran it over to our table. Sir, if you're reading this, your sushi is art and I am so glad to have tried it. Thank you for working so hard. Anyway, the roll was filled with crab and had salmon so fresh it was practically swimming. These rolls were a little bigger than what I'm used to, but still good! Absolutely visit this place (and go easy on the sushi chef when he's busy)."
