"Great date night. If you're looking for a classy, but not stuffy, place for dinner, this is your place. I honestly think that a lot of locals don't even know this place is here. It isn't too big and fills up quickly so reservations couldn't hurt. It is clean and simply decorated, maybe to showcase the historic beauty of the building and to place your focus on the presentation of the food. The menu isn't huge, but that's okay. We had the hummus as an appetizer, and both of us ordered salmon as an entree. Excellent creative modern American dishes. The specials are always interesting and delicious. By far, the most innovative bar menu around with a constantly changing array of cocktails.

The best restaurant in Jefferson City with fresh, often local ingredients. They have very good mixed drinks. It is rather small, might want reservations at peak times or for large groups. It is in a very nice setting as far as being downtown for people watching, a few patio tables, interesting decorum but it is a bit loud at peak times if you are looking for a quiet, romantic dinner. I have had well prepared food except for one incident which the owner personally apologized to me for.
