"My wife and I just ate a great lunch at Living Farm Cafe and Inn! My wife loved the variety of rooms for the food inside, and we sat in a room that had a nice, cozy feeling. The windows looked out on the outdoor terrace and the trees (we will try to eat the outdoor terrace, as the weather later heated this year. We had a friendly host greeting and set ourselves and also a friendly server waiting for us. I had a fantastic tasting cale salad and wonderfully tasteful Beetnik sandwich (we were surprised that they found a way to taste beets so good! Eating outside with a party of four, and it was all excellent. I enjoyed the big boil salad with fresh mixed green, with a local chèvre, which was the lightest goat cheese I've ever tried. I can also recommend the bacon-wrapped dates and apple mimosa.

Burgers and salads were very good, like service. Very disappointed with grilled cheese and tomatoes with pesto sandwich. More like 2 pieces toast, Pesto was good, but would have expected a hearty tomato slice.... especially at the end of August and some tangent cheese.

I was so impressed by the town of Paonia and The Living Farm Cafe is a jewel in its crown. All we had was delicious and the service was impeccable. I had a burger and my friend had the short ribs and the next time I go, I will have a hard time not ordering one of the two again, but there were a number of elements on the menu that I would have been happy with. We shared a brownie for dessert that was warm and amazing.
