"Service was a 5, everyone was super friendly and helpful and the good came fast and hot. Ambience was a 3.5, I immediately saw spider weaving when I came, the place is very small and the chairs and tables did not give me much of an English pub felt more like a diving bar. Eat I would also give a 3.5, chicken tikka masala was soup and bland, cheese balls were really good, but no homemade ranch, my friend thought their fish and chips were excellent. I would definitely come back here for drinks on the terrace or to not try the tea and the scones safely over a complete dinner."

Excellent food and service!!! Have the fish n chips and was not disappointed at all! Do you remember a pub you would find in an Irish?? Valley or somewhere on the coast of Ireland! Can't wait to go back!

I enjoyed the Scotch egg and took some bangers and mash with me for lunch. It's a special treat when in Ames. I waited for them to open for half an hour, and it's worth even with the absence of Branston Pickle. The staff was very friendly and invited me to the water early. Toss in an incubator and a root beer. My day at the clinic went very well. I am grateful for these authentic culinary gems that are often overlooked for a ride.

On a recent road trip, my wife and I stayed in Ames, IA and had lunch at the Mucky Duck Pub. It is an American version of a traditional English pub. They serve many English pub meals such as scotch eggs, pastries, fish chips, färsen mash, shepherd cake and Indian curries. It also has a varied menu of American Bar Tarif. It also has a list of over 40 teas. The decor corresponds to the theme. The locals are happy. The food is great. The staff is pleasant and helpful. You can't go wrong and try the Mucky Duck Pub.
