"The lobster sandwich was bland and dry, even after I added butter to it. The fries were poorly cooked and lacked flavor. My drink arrived 15 minutes after I mentioned that my meal was disappointing. They brought the bill to my fiancé instead of me, possibly assuming it would be cheaper. Overall, the total cost for 2 drinks, 2 appetizers, and a meal came to $68. The only redeeming items were the salad and mozzarella sticks, as well as the drinks. I left feeling very disappointed."

I have always enjoyed a satisfying meal at the 99, no matter which location I visit. The steak tips are one of my favorite dishes.

The service was appalling! The waitress attempted to seat us at the bar, insisting on seating us at a high table or elsewhere, as she was uncomfortable with us sitting at the bar. When we declined and asked for another option, she simply said no without offering an alternative or a wait time. We will not be returning to Rutland 99!

"If I could give a non-vegetarian restaurant 5 stars, I would. I appreciate their options in a community that likely would not sustain a vegetarian restaurant. We had lunch at Roots today. My husband ordered the black bean sandwich (comes with cheddar cheese which could be removed) and I ordered the tofu sandwich (which comes with aioli which can be removed substituted). The staff was very courteous and accommodated our requests for changes even suggesting some substitutions. Both meals were very tasty. My husband ordered fries as a side and I ordered a quinoa salad which was amazing! The atmosphere was conducive to conversation and table sizes not cramped. Our meals cost $25."

"The restaurant is very graceful (if your A/C was on). I had a delicious oven baked corn bread with maple butter, really stellar! For my meal I went with the roasted chicken and garlic lubricated. Although the chicken did not come out in a good attempt for me, my waitress faced the problem and it was a very tasty meal. I guess they're known for their Rotisserie chicken roasted over a wooden fire. Usually with food temp problems you would never see me again, in this case the flavors will withdraw me again!!"

"We both had the blue cheese fondue and the grilled rib eye steak. The service and food were excellent. We took half of our dinners home because the portions were very generous. I think the atmosphere could be a little more appealing. The lighting is a little too bright over the tables for my taste. The dining area looks like a big open barn."

"Very nice little pub in Rutland. Stops from enroute to Killington for a quick bite. Our server Kazandra was super and very attentive. We ordered the Rutland Ricotta pizza with kalamata olives and that was delicious. Her wings and spinach artichokes were also delicious. It came out quickly and her beers were good. They had a little of everything from blondes, IPAs, stouts, sours, porters, etc."

"Took my 2 year-old grandson for lunch and they couldn't have been more accommodating to his needs. He loved the miso soup and mastered the children's chopsticks in no time! The chicken Teriyaki was a perfect meal for my grandson and he actually ate his BROCCOLI!! I had a fabulous roll and truly enjoyed our whole dining experience!! Can't wait to go back!!"
