"This particular Benihana location is one of the oldest in the world, being one of the first franchise stores. While this may not always be a positive thing, in this case it is fantastic. The restaurant has remained true to its original roots, with many long-term employees. The experience was wonderful, meeting all my expectations for a top-notch Benihana. This is not always the case in my recent experiences at Benihana locations in the Southwest (NV, CA) over the past two years. Ordered white wine took me going after waitstaff to ask after everyone at table served 20 min later she said was out. No problem we will do champagne. 5 min later we r out! Well that ruined our meal ordered seafood with no beverages to add to experience. If she had told us 3 min after serving everyone else would have ordered steak and got red wine. Plus overhead vent they didn’t turn on was smoky and felt greasy. The food was bland. Probably after 40 years of going to Benihanas this is making me never return.

Pre-concert dinner for 2 (tho concert got cancelled), reservation time was almost spot-on. Server Roger was fantastic, got everyone 's drink and food orders, then checked back in a timely manner. Cook Chai knows his stuff, personable and got all 7 diners at our Teppan Grill spot-on. Had sashimi appetizer, de-lish, then steak and scallops dinner for me, and filet for wife, both got the fried rice upgrade, better than just steamed rice. Only gripe is my Old Fashioned drink had chipped ice cubes, not the big ice that goes w/this type of cocktail!
