"My first time in Taylorville and we wanted a quick lunch that wasn't a chain. Bill's Toasty is a little jewel of a place. Nothing beautiful, just a big burger at the counter or one of the small tables. Very clean. It has been open since 1932 and they never close....never. 24/7, 365. We will try other menu items at our next visit, but it will be hard not to get another burger because they were so good. People worked very nice. The best place for a hamburger. When my son comes home from Florida, this is one of his first stations! We love to be their Saturday special and on a fixed budget is perfect for us! Thanks also for the specials, along with the great food!

3:00 p.m. and went in and was kindly informed that the frit did not yet run after cleaning. Had the double burger with fried potatoes and onions and it was seriously the bomb. One of the best little diners I've ever been to. I'm from Chicago, but the next time I go south, I'll come back.
