"From the moment I left, I was very happy. This little restaurant is a family treasure. It was my first visit and hopefully not my last one. Unfortunately, I'm not a resident of Milwaukee. It is clean and sanitary, which is a big problem for many small businesses, but not them, not with Blue Star. You could eat from the ground, but not. Lol Before I could open the door, the aroma filled the air. My mouth watered so much I could hardly order. When everything we ordered was fresh and the fact that we were behind two others, I was surprised how fast the food arrived. She had vegan and non- vegan options. Customer service (we met the cook) was from this world. I thought I was home in my grandmot...

I saved this place! Definitely a local jewel. Very fresh, delicious and tasteful. I will certainly come when I am in town next time and recommend it to everyone.

I ate here for the first time and got the somalian style Steak last night and it was absolutely amazing. I was initially a little skeptical because it doesn't look like much, but it was so tasteful and delicate. The rice is the best rice I've ever had. You get the mango juice. It's so good and so refreshing. I had no idea that I would love so much Somali food. Honestly, this is one of the best takeouts I had in Milwaukee. Will definitely be regular here.

If you have a hesitation, take care of how to hesitate a beetle and eat here! Your taste buds will thank you later! As long as I lived in the east side, I came to the blue star! You can't go wrong with anything in the menu. Service is so friendly and professional. Servings are much large, especially at the price! I get two meals from Kay Kay Kay or plates, especially because it's so good that I want to take it 2 days. Kay Kay Kay is probably my favorite thing on the menu. They stack this evil boy high with delicious, brooded ciabatta, raisins, potatoes, onions and the choice of meat. And you have to get a spider of hummus or sambusas, obviously!!

"let me start from the moment I arrived, until the moment I went, I was treated so well by all the staff. this place has a deep feeling, and that was an experience you can get nowhere else. the host who took our beverage order donna was so incredibly friendly and up to the earth, it felt like making a new girlfriend. the waitress we had (I can't remember her names, but she had dark hair and a fan to make sure she wasn't heated over while serving that I thought was an incredible idea) was exceptional at point and friendly. she made sure we took care of every moment when she noticed something was running low on our table. we were so comfortable with her, we could talk about everything! she was amazing! they start at the bar where they can order a drink and plan their order. Once they have ordered their food, they close their tab at the bar and then they are moved to their edible for their meal. they get a radishes board that includes sweet, pickel, olive and paprika. it was a delicious start and is free with its meal along with brot and salat. my coworker and I ordered both a rib eye. we shared a side of creamy spinat and sparing (the side orders are more than enough to share I did not want my steak rare or medium rare, but in between, and the boil nailed it. the outside of my steaks was perfectly presumed with a delicious crust. the au jus was a bit salty for my pleasure, but it has improved the taste of the steaks. my steak was perfectly boiled where it melted in the mouth with little wall on chew. I almost cried, that was good. I was so incredibly impressed by all the experience, I will be more than happy to make sure that I have this restaurant every time I have to say to wisconsin (I am from ohio but travel to wi for the work the only thing I have to tell the owners are: bravo"
