"Overall, a bit disappointed! Great beer selection nice ambiance, friendly staff. We weren 't in a rush, but everything took a really long time. In addition, the food I had was not that great. I grew up in Germany and have an idea what authentic German food tastes like. While I do understand that the same food is prepared different depending on the region in Germany, and I also know some restaurants in Germany have terrible food too. For my Bavarian taste buds, the food at Brauhaus Schmitz was not that great. The food took forever. We were a bigger group (8) sitting in the back room which was almost empty. I guess this is a thing now, but I don 't like having to scan the QR code to look at t...

we had a great evening here, in any case a reservation, but eating is good and the atmosphere is really fun. fries are delicious salty, beer was smooth. Saus were a bit hit or miss, but overall we really enjoyed it.

Not great. The best parts of this location are the beer and the atmosphere. The beer selection is top notch and I am glad they only purchase the beer and they don 't make it themselves; because of they did, it would be poor. I ordered the chicken schnitzel and it is not what schnitzel is supposed to be. This came out thick and burned to a crisp. Schnitzel is supposed to be pounded thin and not burned to a crisp. It was actually funny because my friend ordered the same thing and the server came out and said his was a little too crisp to serve which had me baffled because they served everyone else black crust. The flavors of the food was ok but they coat their fries in some blend of spices whi...

"We were there celebrating two birthdays. Our server Faith was wonderful. She was attentive without being intrusive and knowledgeable about the menu. We were a table of 6 and ordered quite a bit of food, some of which was great and others lackluster. The bao buns were great and the small calamari salad was huge and those who had it said delicious. The spareribs were good as well as the edamame dumplings, although the way those were served made it hard to fully enjoy. Each dumpling should be on a individual type spoon so you can enjoy the soup part as well as the dumpling. The way they were served in one large bowl with only one spoon made it so the soup part is left at the bottom. I did request extra spoons from the expediter but they never came. The worst part of our appetizer course was somehow an item was switched to another in the computer and served to us. It had shellfish in it and that wasn’t known when someone at our table who doesn’t eat shellfish ate it. The sashimi was good but the tuna tartare thing was really bad. The entrees we had were the duck, which I was told was delicious, the miso cod, which was fishy, the whole fish which was tasteless, the lobster fried rice, which was okay but lacking flavor. The best dish was the black pepper beef, it was delicious and elegantly served. We had all the sides and all were quite good especially the eggplant and the wasabi mashed potatoes. It was a nice evening but it felt a little stale for a Starr restaurant."
