"Overall, a bit disappointed! Great beer selection nice ambiance, friendly staff. We weren 't in a rush, but everything took a really long time. In addition, the food I had was not that great. I grew up in Germany and have an idea what authentic German food tastes like. While I do understand that the same food is prepared different depending on the region in Germany, and I also know some restaurants in Germany have terrible food too. For my Bavarian taste buds, the food at Brauhaus Schmitz was not that great. The food took forever. We were a bigger group (8) sitting in the back room which was almost empty. I guess this is a thing now, but I don 't like having to scan the QR code to look at the menu, especially if you have a bad cellphone reception. Maybe they should offer WiFi (maybe they do. I didn 't ask). The server did offer paper menus but were only able to provide 2 for the table of 8. It took us about 30 minutes until we all had ordered our food. The drinks were brought out pretty fast, but I think the food took about 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes after we had ordered it. After we finished eating, the plates were cleared, and we declined the desert. We would have expected that they bring out the check/bill like they normally do in a restaurant in the U.S., but after a while I had to ask for it. Even then it took about 20 minutes to come out (at that time they really weren 't that busy anymore) They also had already added the tip to the bill, and I 'm glad the waiter pointed it out. I know this is common at other restaurants as well for larger groups. Overall rating: Ambience 4/5 stars, for making the outdoor seating on a busy street look like a beer garden. Indoors was nice too. Nice decoration, not too much/too little, etc. However, I would have expected some German music. I didn 't pay tharuchbattention to it at first, but later noticed that they were playing some spanish music. Beer quality and selection 5/5 stars Food 2/5 stars I had Sauerbraten with blue cabbage and small potato dumplings or whatever that was supposed to be. The gravy was about 3.5/5 stars and was the best out of everything else on that plate. The meat was thinly sliced and dry (and I usually like the meat well done, but this was just dry). Blue cabbage was ok. A little bit on the bitter side, possible overcooked. The so called potato dumpling were just terrible! Those were not potato dumplings, I think this was just mashed potatoes scooped out with an ice cream scoop and sat too long under a heating lamp. This was a joke! I definitely know what not to order next time. I 'm hoping that they just had a bad or or something, and it won 't be as bad next time. I will just order something else. We also had Kartoffelpuffer. I would say 4/5 stars. A little bit too thick, but I know some regions in Germany make them like this too. Summarized rating of all 2.5-3 out of 5 stars"

"my family and I went to opry mills and decided to go to Bavarian beerhouse to eat before they go. we had a great experience in 2018, so we thought it was a good place to eat because we had not eaten there in 4 years. we were very wrong to think it would be a good place to eat. While it was really terrible, I guess not to take it as it is all the time as we work on a busy day with a smaller number of employees than usual there. we decided to buy some chocolate and cookies from the souvenir shop in the front. little we knew the chocolate and cookies would be the best part to go there. we sat down and waited for our food to arrive and expected it to taste just as good as it had 4 years ago. after all, it actually happened. we ordered 4 dishes, 1 for each member and a pulpit. I ordered her German mac and cheese and it was terrible. first the top had those fried bits that were a secret. we couldn't say if they were swirling or kartoffeling or what else could be done in them. the huh that it came with had different levels of cooking put at different places, some were understated. it looked out and tasted as if it was heated again. the makkaroni itself was the only good part of it. one of us ordered a gurkensalat. it was absolutely terrible in my personal opinion. even our waiter seemed to be beating that we should not get it, especially by saying that it would taste better with (insert item) it was really dry for us, and the neighboring party said their had too much dressing and/or sauce. another one of us ordered the currywurst and it was also terrible for reasons I unfortunately forgot when I wrote this review, a whole day after. the pulpit had only a good quality for them and that was the beer cheese. the sprinkled itself tasted even worse than kroger brand bretzels that they can get for $1. the best dish we got at our table was the reuben sandwich, and although it was the best, it was still not great. we had a court that I can't even remember the names or find on the menu, and it was like the others (except the reuben) terrible. I think it was the lachsfilet, but I'm guessing right now. Anyway, the person in our party who ordered it has become sick, not long before we decided we wanted to go. the person she then ordered went on to go and (their words, possibly exaggerated) And/or recovers the baggage! the bill was incredibly high for such high quality food. even after a good piece of the item removed, it still costs $84 to $89. a person I think as a writer was not very polite. one of the members of our party actually works in the food and hospitality industry spoke to the manager instead of trying to find a solution from the information I have the manager, instead of sending them. they came later and asked us if we wanted to crates for our food. we haven't let down too long. there was a woman in the party next to us who was literally from Germany and even she absolutely hated eating. overall this could be due to a busy day without the usual number of workers, but I would recommend being careful when you go to the Bavarian beer house."
