"At first this restaurant was not even open until 12 so that the “open available times before 12” on open table makes no sense and should not be available. Second. On the open table it was advertised as a din in, not “ sitting outside” Outside seats was the only option after the restaurant was called. We called the restaurant and they didn't primarily do Dine, and then they also did outside seats, but no tents, it was 27 outside. You think someone wanted to sit outside and eat. I don't think so. Long story short there is no communication between this restaurant and open table when it comes to description, seating and time. I love this app and it worked well with other restaurants, but with t...

Don't be honored. Don't do it. Eating was just okay. The service was slow.

Didn't appreciate our reservation. Waited 30 minutes to sit. Has not enforced 5 star requirements. Eating was Blande. Drinks were good. But overall, will not be back.

I always feel that this place has potential, but he never lives according to my expectations. Castle Rock needs a good Mexican restaurant, but this restaurant always makes me feel underwhelmed. The food was average. Experience was just that.

"I've been going to Castle Cafe for quite a few years have never been disappointed with anything. The building is historic thank goodness they've maintained its original character. I'm not a fish eater, so I can't comment there. But the buffalo meatloaf, chicken fried chicken chicken fried steak are as good as it gets in Colorado. The soups are homemade (like everything else) are on spot the cream of asparagus is the best I've had, ever. But the real reason to go here is for the pan fried chicken. OMG, my mouth waters just typing pan fried chicken. I swear it's just like my grandma made in her well seasoned cast iron skillet. Oh so crispy on the outside, oh so moist on the inside. There's a fair number of elderly folks that come here with families etc., so they are a bit light on seasoning, but nothing a dash of salt pepper doesn't fix. The pan fried chicken isn't cooked ahead of time stuck under a heat lamp, so if you're not willing to wait the 30 minutes it takes to cook, go to KFC. The mashed potatoes are lumpy with skin on, just the way they should be. If you like mashed potatoes made of flakes from a box, go to Denny's. Homemade Parker rolls are served in a basket covered with a red white cloth napkin just like grandma did. Drenching them with the boat of cracklin' gravy is almost a meal in itself. Ohhh the cracklin' gravy, if I could get away with just guzzlin' a boat or two, I'd die happy be off to clogged artery heaven yes, it's that good! And the service it's like eating at someone's house with family serving you. They are a great group that try their darndest to make your visit a good one. So, if you like good ol' down home homemade cooking, have just a little patience to wait for good food to be prepared after you've ordered it, go to Castle Cafe. If you're an impatient whiny butt sniffler, stay the heck out of my town go eat hummus in LoDo."
