"This is the real deal, 3 generations with a 4th coming. We expected an authentic experience, and that's what we got. Fried shrimp was fresh and tender, perfect. But, plan on a real diner meal, not tourist experience. Nothing fancy about it. A neighborhood gem."

The oysters were so extremely fresh. Best I've ever had. We got some of the chargrilled ones too and those were also very good. A must anytime I'm back in NO (also if we catch them open during their open months)

Terrible. Don’t wait in line. Fries were soaked in oil. Need to change the oil more often and cook at a higher temperature. Chargrilled oysters tasty but nothing special. Good gumbo. Fried oysters and soft shell crab suffered from bad oil. Go elsewhere.
