Unfortunately, my overall dining experience was further marred when I noticed a cockroach crawling towards my booth. The server mentioned they were undergoing treatment for pests, but the manager/owner seemed unaware of the issue and claimed it had never happened before. This incident was a major turnoff, and I do not plan on returning to this establishment. My companion had not visited the restaurant since before the pandemic and was hoping for a romantic and enjoyable evening, but it was quite the opposite. Very disappointing.

The food at China Gourmet was delicious and the atmosphere was lovely. It was a nice change for us to dine here, as we are big fans of Chinese food. The restaurant is located just outside of downtown Cincinnati. I enjoyed the live music, although it was a bit too loud for my liking. Overall, China Gourmet was a great find. The service was slow and it seemed like they took a team approach to serving us. I had to inquire after the fourth person came to our table, which I felt detracted from the dining experience and caused us to wait longer than necessary. Despite this, I would give four stars for the food and atmosphere.
