"a drink and a bottle of wine. for the food we had to start the bermsalat and the bermudan seafood cahowder. we had crabcake, otopus and started for our second cure. we had a whole fried thai snapper for our main course. we really enjoyed everything except the octopus and the crabcake. the grilled otopus had lima in his sosty but the dish was too saucy. the crab cakes were simply ok. they were panfried and the quality of the crab meat did not correspond to our expectations. Note that we are from baltimore, md, where we enjoy fabulous crabcakes. the Bermudan-Chowder and the whole snapper were both excellent. the muffins served as an appetizer and the caramel popcorn at the end of the meal wer...

The oyster were small and comparatively very expensive. The entree, fish, was a small portion and comparatively expensive.

corvina seafood grill is a stylish new restaurant in the city. the fish is fresh and well prepared. sauces and sides we tried were normal. the greetings fought, kept us waiting for a table to a time when many tables were not occupied, but once we sit service was exceptional, with an excellent primary server and well-trained support staff, all friendly and efficient. the complex is modern and attractive with many stands and a lively bar scene.

"Decent at best. That’s all really. It is very noisy- by design. Look up and you’ll see why. The ceiling is designed to carry the noise from the bar throughout the restaurant. And honestly I don’t care to listen to the bumpin music they’re playing at the bar when we’re at our booth 50+ feet away. It is also very dim. Extremely poor lighting, according to our waitress (who was very nice) this is also by design because other diners have made comment about this too and she said she’s mentioned it and the feedback she gets is “it creates the ambience.” Yeah okay…… “ambience.” The food is decent at best. Caesar salad was pretty good. But what is up with the streak being doused in butter? There was a pool of butter on my plate around my steak. Is the lighting dim in the kitchen too? Can the chefs not see what they’re doing? All in all, New York Prime is not any better than Morton’s or The Capital Grille. In fact, we probably should have gone to one of those two. There’s nothing New York about this restaurant at all. After returning home we decided to check out New York Prime’s website and read their menu story about how “New York Prime is a different kind of steakhouse.” If you ever want a laugh, read that. You’ll tear up, it’s hilarious. Proprietors seem very full of themselves! Anyway, we were very unimpressed, will definitely not be returning."
