"This is the best Italian food you can find in South Florida! I was in Italy and the food is not better than here. We have ordered so many dishes here and each one of them is excellent. You really care about a high end. The parking lot is limited on the street, but the Valet is a nice option. Locals go from the beautiful neighborhoods nearby. Update: The last time we were, they tried to push us to turn the table. Some of our foods removed while we eat. Absolutely terrible service last time. 4 stars to lose because we usually get better service."

All right! Very appreciated that they have a group of 6 last minute. This place met after a long day of participation in a local conference.

For an appetizer we had the crab cakes that were amazing. As a deer we had lamb sheds, sea bass and ravioli. It was good, but nothing amazing for the price. We had cheesecake for dessert and it was delicious. The service was differentiated. Our waiter spoke so fast that we had to ask several times to repeat the specials. He never came to check us out, and then we forget our table at the end. While we had a great time, next time we will go elsewhere for Italian food.

The food was great as usual. We ordered the strawberry shortcake as we always do, but it was taken from the table after only half eaten. We were in good conversation with our party of 6 and did not notice that it had been taken away. When we told the waiter about it, he replied, trying to clear the table to get the next people?. No excuse or accommodation. Very disappointing, we are always looking forward to this dessert when we come and believe that the situation could be treated differently

"Decent at best. That’s all really. It is very noisy- by design. Look up and you’ll see why. The ceiling is designed to carry the noise from the bar throughout the restaurant. And honestly I don’t care to listen to the bumpin music they’re playing at the bar when we’re at our booth 50+ feet away. It is also very dim. Extremely poor lighting, according to our waitress (who was very nice) this is also by design because other diners have made comment about this too and she said she’s mentioned it and the feedback she gets is “it creates the ambience.” Yeah okay…… “ambience.” The food is decent at best. Caesar salad was pretty good. But what is up with the streak being doused in butter? There was a pool of butter on my plate around my steak. Is the lighting dim in the kitchen too? Can the chefs not see what they’re doing? All in all, New York Prime is not any better than Morton’s or The Capital Grille. In fact, we probably should have gone to one of those two. There’s nothing New York about this restaurant at all. After returning home we decided to check out New York Prime’s website and read their menu story about how “New York Prime is a different kind of steakhouse.” If you ever want a laugh, read that. You’ll tear up, it’s hilarious. Proprietors seem very full of themselves! Anyway, we were very unimpressed, will definitely not be returning."
