But even though the recipes are traditional there is always a modern take on them, for example a cheesecake flavoured as a more traditional bread and chocolate tart (torta di pane, as it’s called here). The place is nice and cosy, being rather on the small side, especially in winter when you can’t sit in the garden at the back, seating inside is limited so better book a table if you are a large party."

A sure bet for tasting local specialties, it is certainly not French gastronomy, but they are good typical dishes from Ticino. For my part, I have never been disappointed by brasato. Braised beef in red wine.

This is an upscale version of a local grotto/restaurant: nevertheless, or just because it is upscale, you will be seated in a very warm and homely atmosphere in the middle of very quiet surroundings; the service is impeccable and the choice of very good food and wine is wide.It does not leave anything to be desired.
