"During my visit to Philadelphia, I decided to have brunch at this restaurant one weekend. It's a bring-your-own-bottle type of place, and I wish I had known beforehand because can brunch really be complete without alcohol? I ordered the Big Breakfast, which included the usual breakfast items like eggs and bacon. It was nothing special, but the homemade muffin that came with it was outstanding. I also tried the Challah French toast, which was delightful with a crispy exterior and soft interior. My friend enjoyed the Classic Eggs Benedict, which they said was delicious."

My favorite brunch spot in Philly. Just went today, May 7th, 2021, and they are totally open and still amazing. Try the French toast, the scramblers, eggs Benedict, and everything else. I’ve had a great meal every time I’ve come here. Pictures here is the Frenchie scrambler (Brie and mushrooms), with a side of rosemary potatoes, rye toast, and slices of cantaloupe and honeydew.

The wait was excessively long, but once we were seated, the service was prompt and attentive. I had low expectations for the food, but I was pleasantly surprised. The flavors were very enjoyable, nothing out of the ordinary but still delicious. Despite the restaurant being packed, everything was cooked perfectly. The prices were reasonable, at around $20-30 per person, and the portions were generous, leaving us feeling satisfied.

Day by Day is an awesome brunch spot. It's quite busy, but well worth the wait. I went there with some friends and found the service to be friendly and accommodating (they gave us a bread basket for our wait). The poppyseed muffin with pumpkin purée inside was delicious. I had an egg and cheese open-faced croissant was buttery and filling. The rosemary potatoes wee fried with fresh rosemary, though they were a little oily for my taste. For the price and portion sizes, brunch was well worth it.

"We were there celebrating two birthdays. Our server Faith was wonderful. She was attentive without being intrusive and knowledgeable about the menu. We were a table of 6 and ordered quite a bit of food, some of which was great and others lackluster. The bao buns were great and the small calamari salad was huge and those who had it said delicious. The spareribs were good as well as the edamame dumplings, although the way those were served made it hard to fully enjoy. Each dumpling should be on a individual type spoon so you can enjoy the soup part as well as the dumpling. The way they were served in one large bowl with only one spoon made it so the soup part is left at the bottom. I did request extra spoons from the expediter but they never came. The worst part of our appetizer course was somehow an item was switched to another in the computer and served to us. It had shellfish in it and that wasn’t known when someone at our table who doesn’t eat shellfish ate it. The sashimi was good but the tuna tartare thing was really bad. The entrees we had were the duck, which I was told was delicious, the miso cod, which was fishy, the whole fish which was tasteless, the lobster fried rice, which was okay but lacking flavor. The best dish was the black pepper beef, it was delicious and elegantly served. We had all the sides and all were quite good especially the eggplant and the wasabi mashed potatoes. It was a nice evening but it felt a little stale for a Starr restaurant."
