"Motel desk clerk is grumpy and not welcoming. The rooms are small and fairly clean. Beds are good. Biggest issue is the amount of guests that sit outside the door of their room smoking. We were hit in the face by cig smoke every time we went in or out. Our vehicle smelled like cigs too. There was an elderly lady that chain smoked while sitting by her room wearing her pj 's, long term guest maybe? The motel needs to enforce the law that smoking must be at least 20 feet from any entrance. There is a grassy area off to the side that they could put up a smoking room/area which would prevent non-smokers from smelling the stink of cigs. I've been going to the Driftwood for the last 20 yrs and starting last year it seems that every time I dine here, the food has been going downhill. Sad.
