"Our group of three didn 't feel welcomed at all originally, but she came around. As native of Houma relatively close to Morgan City, I DO NOT recommend the Chicken Sausage gumbo. The chicken is unseasoned drumettes, there is NO browned flavor, and there 's diced tomatoes in it. The flavor gives beef broth and tomato. The potato salad is runny and sweet. The burger was just ok. Water is unfiltered tap or Dasani. The reviews were misleading... Maybe my expectations were way too high, comparing to other mom and pop diners"

"This was a great meal! The portions, price, and taste were enpointe! The owners and the cashier were very nice. We wandered in at almost closing but everyone was very eager to serve us and not complain because we were so late and asked to dine in because we didnt want to eat in our hotel. The food was even hot and fresh. When I'm in the area, I will definitely go back to this Sam's. Update: Now, there's a Sam's in my area and we eat there frequently! I'm glad they are here."

"Wow!!! I was born and raised in Louisiana, but have been living in other places for many years. But it didn 't take me long to realize how good the crawfish and shrimp were here! Seasoned very well, not enough to burn the mouth, but not bland either. A wonderful eating experience! Very friendly customer service and we never had to 'look ' for them. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20"

"Driving to New Orleans on a road trip and found this little gem through all of the good reviews. It is hidden for sure. No one would know about it unless they searched for it. It is one of those good hole in the wall , nothing special on they eyes, but VERY tasty and worth the home cooked wait time. Shared the small fried pickles and the Monday special: pork chops and 2 sides, roll and drink. We did mashed potatoes and corn. Sooooo good! If I were a local, I 'd go back for every day to try their special of the day."

"We were passing through Morgan City and stoped based on the Yelp reviews. It was worth the stop. We had egg plant parmesan, chicken Parmesan, and the Cuban sandwich. They were all delicious. Their red sauce was great. The only regret is we didn’t stock up from their freezer section. Bring an ice chest (they have them if you forget! . Don’t miss it."
