"I am pleased to see more restaurants offering vegan cheese and plant-based proteins, so I commend Ege Mediterranean for having both on their menu. The restaurant also makes it easy to order with a clearly labeled vegan section. I tried the vegan ranchero pizza and hummus, but found the hummus to be lacking flavor and the pita to be more like pizza dough. The pizza was overloaded with toppings and the vegan chicken was dry and flavorless. I may consider giving Ege Mediterranean another try, but would choose different dishes. With many vegan options in Pittsburgh, I would likely try a different restaurant next time."
