"El Jimador has the most extensive menu for true authentic Mexican food in town. They offer a lot of coastal varieties from my favorite city of Puerto Vallarta in Jalisco. The staff are always so friendly and inviting. The decor is on another level compared to most places in the area. The woodwork on the booths took skill. The live edge bar is beautiful and even the bathroom floors are painted as a mural and are always clean. It’s one of my favorite places in town. Definitely visit and the prices are reasonable. You can get a lunch for $6 or choose to spend upwards of $28 for a special such as the pulpo (octopus)! It’s a family environment for all budgets. Great place! Wonderful people!"

"My bf and I were here for the first time for the last Friday of 2022. The vibe was romantic and intimate. We got a seat by the window and enjoyed the city lights throughout our meal. Out waiter was polite, charming, and funny. Attentive without being annoying and overbearing. He truly was our culinary advocate and came through with all his recs. We got the lobster bisque to start, it was light and the puff pastry delicious- must try. Split between 2, it left plenty of space for the rest of the meal and a couple of drinks. Mains: My bf got the special, swordfish (I think) and risotto and I got the seafood manicotti. The risotto was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. The portion size was large and very filling. We weren't able to finish and needed to take it home. The manicotti was heavy on the cheese, and really didn't take much to feel satisfied. Somehow, we had space for dessert. We were debating between the tiramisu and cheesecake. Our waiter told us both are excellent but the cheesecake is one of the best things he's ever eaten. I had my heart set on tiramisu going in and kept with the theme of Italian, so we decided to go with that. Our waiter realllly wanted us to experience that cheesecake. He clearly finagled something because they comped us the cheesecake and we got to try both! It was delightful and really tasted like somebody's grandma made it just for us. Can't go wrong with either dessert. Both are super filling and of course we had to get boxes for those too. All in all, we had a great night with good food, string drinks, and were stuffed to the brim. Looking forward to my next time!"
