"The atmosphere was very good, spacious, romantic. The food and service was just soso really, was maybe a little pushy on us getting the kaiseki omakase, but this restaurant is not that well known for kaiseki, so we skipped it. Luckily we did a la carte... at least the hot pot rice and chawanmushi was pretty good, the handmade tofu, raw oysters and salmon miso was okay, the agedashi tofu was horrible, sashimi was one of the worst quality I have had at this price point in the city, even local sushi place in Long Island had better quality fish at cheaper price, there are places in Manhattan with better sashimi quality at the same price point. Uni tasted bland and ikura too salty in the handrol...

I have been coming here for years and it’s the best Japanese restaurant in New York. I love the Kaiseki menu, the atmosphere is chic and relaxing, the service is impeccable.

Honestly the most attentive service and some of the best food we’ve ever had. I’ve never had a hostess ask how we were doing. There was multiple servers making sure we had clean plates to drinks at all times. Just excellent.

This place is amazing! I had the Omakase with a sake pairing, and although it was a really expensive meal, it was really, really good. The atmosphere is wonderful, and the restaurant design is pretty cool. The service was top-notch and the waitstaff was super attentive without being intrusive. If you are looking for a non-typical Japanese restaurant that makes their own tofu and has some really good sake, this is definitely it.
