"We had hoped to get seafood in Homer, but everywhere was either fully booked or closed. This place saved the day with their wood-fired pizza. It was pretty busy when we arrived on Sunday at 5:00. We ordered the Greek pizza and Pepperoni pizza for 4 people. 2 was a lot for us and we could have eaten a 5th person. The crust was thin and tasteful. Definitely recommend the Greek pizza with the feta, artichokes, tomatoes and basil. The only drawback is the pizzas range from $26-$32. Nice place on the water right at the main strip in the city. They also sell through the pane and had a home salad option and various drinks and wine and beer."

Interesting pizza selection. Not your typical meat lover menu. Tried the Margherita Pizza per her recommendation. It was great. Perfect chewing crust and very cheesy cheese. Beautiful location with views of the water.

"The Bagel Shop is a MUST visit if you 're in Homer. It has been posited that you can 't get good New York Style bagels here in Alaska. Sorry, i disagree. The Bagel Shop is an unassuming, deceptively urbane looking storefront, in an industrial area of town, it 's certainly not on the main drag of Homer, but that does not affect how busy it gets. Inside the entryway, you 'll order your bagel, from the chalkboard with the choices of what 's available. There are cold drinks in a chiller, if you desire, or get coffee or tea if that 's your preference. The menu is quite extensive, from what looks to be such a tiny eatery, but don 't be fooled tables are around the back. You can get bagels, soups, salads, a variety of drinks. My first few times here, we were always getting bagels for on the road, and i didn 't even know you could eat inside. I always got the Everything Bagel with the Holy Trinity Schmear (jalapeño, garlic, anchovy, blended masterfully with cream cheese and it is superb, i tell you that right now. If you love garlic, you 'll love this schmear. Anyway, so last time we were in Homer, we decided to eat inside, and i thought I 'd try the Avocado Toast and have a nice cuppa tea (I 'm British ok, don 't roll your eyes at me like that! So i got an Everything Bagel, with the avocado topping. He ordered the usual I think he got an onion bagel with Holy Trinity schmear. I was presented with such an artistic looking bagel. And i will stand here right now, and claim that 100% they cook THE best fried egg in ALaska, because they don 't flip it like an over easy egg, so it 's not brown on top. They either do what british people do, and flip hot grease over the top of the he egg, so the whole thing stays white, and the top of the yolk has an opaque white skin, OR they put a cover over the egg, and the steam cooks it. Either way, it cooks a perfect fried egg, because sunny side up I 've had way too many snotty, sunny side up eggs to ever trust ordering one. Ad i get an over easy egg, because i just can 't get an English style fried egg here in ALaska, except for now. THIS IS THE PERFECT FRIED EGG RIGHT HERE. The yolk is a perfectly runny sauce to drape unctuously over your bagel, the avocados are bright green and fresh. There 's a seasoning on top of this egg that elevates it to magical heights. It 's got sesame seeds in, and something green. No idea but let me take some home please? Micro greens on top and it 's just delightful. And 2 days ago, it wasn 't on the menu, my heart sank! So i asked her. She said oh sure, i can make that for you! Would you like bacon? Would i like bacon? Indeed i would like more deliciousness added onto an already stupendous meal. And it was AMAZING. It 's now my go to, as I 'm a creature of habit, as much as it 's possible to have a go to, in a place you only go to, once or twice a year. Superb. The best! And ALWAYS service with multiple smiles. As someone said to me about the Bagel Shop, if you live in Anchorage, The Bagel Shop is well worth a *turn and burn* and i wholeheartedly agree."
