"There's not much to choose from on Helgoland in November as most restaurants are only open after and many are not open days a week and a few more are closed.I was relieved to find one so good and reasonable that even had...excellent desserts.Aquarium Cafe is decorated with pictures from Helgoland's past and even has a continually running documentary on its television.I ordered a dish that was a sampler of different North Sea fish, pan fried and breaded which was very good and accompanied by fries.The service was prompt, friendly and professional. My Pannfisch was which I found reasonable for an isolated island hours from shore.My dessert was extraordinary.Bailey's Irish Cream is all the rage these days in Europe but I never expected to find Baileys Irish Cream Pudding all the way out here, Euro.It was topped with a generous portion of German Whipped Cream, please don't tell my heart doctor.The total tab: Euro.I would recommend"

"Helgoland is a German island in the middle of the North Sea, and Weddigs make publicity with the above slogan in their private little newspaper. So we were very curious to taste their fish dishes of which they offer quite q variety in their dinner...card. People eat very early in this region. So try to be there at 18h or reserve a table. We especially recommend the Seehecht (herring hake) with vegetables which is really delicious and should be accompanied by a local Duckstein beer. We loved the cosy atmosphere of the restaurant and the friendly servant."

"Okay, das Ambiente könnte besser sein, ist eher ein besserer Imbiss, aber die Gerichte sind über jeden Zweifel erhaben.Besonders zu empfehlen der Salat mit Tomate und Mozzarella, sehr lecker, frisch und fast schon ein Hauptgericht. Wer dann noch Hunger hat probiert die Knieperpizza oder die Lasagne, beides sehr lecker. Hauswein ist auch schmackhaft.Alle Pizzen mit Meeresfrüchten sind zu empfehlen."

"Seit vielen Jahren besuche ich Helgoland. Und bei jedem Besuch steht auch je nach Dauer meines Aufenthaltes (mindestens!) ein leckeres Abendessen in den Mocca Stuben auf dem Programm. Empfohlen wird das im Oberland gelegene Restaurant von den Einheimischen, die dort auch ihre Familienfeste feiern - für mich ein klares Indiz für gute Küche zu einem fairen Preis. Ob Fischgerichte oder Fleisch auf dem Teller, ob mittags oder abends - ich bin hier noch NIE enttäuscht worden. Für mich sind die Mocca Stuben die perfeke Symbiose aus hervorragender Inselküche, ansprechendem Ambiente und prima Service - ein Restaurant zum Wohlfühlen, bei dem alles stimmig ist."

"two clearly marked vegan dishes I had the sweet pan with salt potatoes. the other was spaghetti with tomato sauce. nothing too exciting, but the court tasted good. I also tried the bruschetta that was not explicitly vegan, but the allergy info looked good. the service was very distracted, but forgot my second drink and so on, but they seemed to have some internal problems as our server was called in in the middle of taking over our orders. So who knows."
