"OK, I need to get this out of the way first; I wouldn't normally frequent a Gastatte attached to a campsite! But, I'm so glad we tried it for an evening meal. Not sure if booking a table is mandatory, but you would be well advised to do so. The campsite looked pretty empty but the Gastatte was very busy I'm guessing that this placed is loved by the locals. A sensibly priced and varied menu offered plenty of choice. We choice a Wild ragout with spaetzle and a rump steak with pepper sauce. We arrived here after a walk through the surrounding for a lunch. And of course in Germany you need to eat a schnitzel and I liked it a lot. And also the salad and backed potatoes were very good. From the terrace you can't see the lake but it was nice to sit there for a lunch and a beer.

I went to the restaurant in 3 adults and 3 children. This is a simple restaurant but with a cozy environment. Although the restaurant is not big, the internal layout is good. There are tables for different number of people. It accommodated our family very well. The menu is simple but with lots of options of food. The price is also very reasonable. I really recommend the restaurant for those who are in the region. The only challenge is the communication for non German speakers, but it doesn't drop the service quality.
