"BEWARE future guests!! It’s worth noting that both the cabins and the lodge back up to an incredibly LOUD and busy highway where heavy traffic is flying by at ALL hours of the day and night. It provides anything but a peaceful, tranquil backdrop that Gateway Lodge is falsely advertising as a serene, magical getaway in the woods. What a fantastic place! We stayed in a luxury cabin for 4 nights and loved every single moment at this location. It's the perfect place to relax and enjoy. We simply loved it!

Beautiful setting, unfortunately service was horrible, room was freezing cold in August, restaurant was very limited and somethings on the limited menu were not available. Bar was not a full bar which is ok if you can BYOB, so after having a great day enjoying the area hiking and exploring could not have a nice dinner and cocktail.Waited for over 10min on phone trying to connect to front desk. Oh but Yes the Wild Crafters Kitchen..sustainably sourced is Right on..The German Raw Apple Cake ...tasted like the earth....Dirt ! Get A New Cook !
