"Cute little local services and run place to get locally made, grown and fresh food. We had the pulled pork, ahi salad, papaya and fresh coconut. The drill a hoe on the coconut then when you are done drinking it they cut it in half for you. We had the poke nachos last year and it was so good. It is a must to get the coconut especially if you have never had one. We spoke to another couple and they were from Minnesota and were asking if they should get one because they've never tasted a coconut I said YES get one! I like that they have plenary of seating to relax and enjoy the beautiful views of Hawaii."

"absolutely amazing sandwich and amazing sushi here. we asked the waitress what she would order, and she rolled us with a few and hanged a few sandwiches. the sandwiches that I believe were called "the best sandwich ever" lived up to their names and the steak sushi roll was really good. I never had such a thing. that was a very unforgettable experience."

"I have been here two times for lunch. A good variety of food. The Ono was very fresh and well-prepared. Beer and wine also available. The food is tasty and it comes out fast. But it's people that make this place. Family-owned and very friendly and responsive. We wanted to take home some leftover salad but we were staying in Kailua-Kona and it was a very hot day. So when we were ready to leave she brought out a box and there was a baggie of ice at the bottom. A smaller bag that contained our salad sat on top of the ice. We were able to enjoy the leftover salad later with our dinner."

"Gently paced north shore location on Hawi's main street. There is parking directly outside the shop along the road (marked spaces). Efficient service and delicious local coffee. Definitely a local gathering place with a limited amount of outdoor seating. Surprisingly large breakfast menu of wraps and sandwiches. Recommended."

"We always start with a visit to the great little store to pick up gifts and new t-shirts for ourselves. The restaurant offers excellent food and quick service, even when short-staffed. Joan, the owner, goes above and beyond to ensure everything is taken care of with a sense of humor, serving delicious food and amazing drinks. Thank you, Joan and Jack, for another fantastic vacation. We can't wait to return next year!"
