"This was my first time here and i fell like it was a really great experience. We were seated in these wine barrel seats which were kind of a neat place to sit. I started off with a house salad which although pretty basic, I loved the homemade salad dressing! I was tempted to order chicken piccata but I wound up going for something more traditional and got the lasagna. Overall it was a pretty great lasagna, but I wasn't a huge fan of whatever kind of meat that was in it. We finished up with a Apple tart type dessert and that was very tasty. Excellent service, delicious food, tasty drinks, and plenty of vegetarian options. This restaurant is our favorite spot for date nights. And as a vegan, I appreciate the staff's willingness to accommodate my dietary needs.

This restaurant serves the most authentic Italian cuisine I have ever tasted. It is incredibly delicious. The restaurant is very clean and the service is excellent. The interior and exterior are beautiful. I will definitely be returning!

The ambiance was fantastic. Our server was friendly and accommodating. Because we were a party of 20, it did take a bit longer for our drinks and dishes to arrive. The food was delicious, but lacked a bit of depth in flavor. I would have liked more seasoning or bold flavors in the dishes.

"we had the most wonderful dinner at giovanni’s. the food was great and the service was even better. my wife had the calf parmesan from which she was slapped. the Tuscan suppe and salat with a house made tomaten and basilikum dressing also a hit. I had the ribeye aka cavor, one of the best steaks that I had in a long time, covered with a light scab sauce with green pfeffer grains. hot broth. fresh vegetables. our server was megan. if they ever drive through lampasas or if they are looking for a destination to dinner, giovanni’s is a great place to go. ask for megan."

"I read through a lot of the reviews and decided to give this a try. Weeks went by and as I was driving into cove and pulled right in to the parking lot. When I opened my door I was met with this breath taking smell of hawaiian bbq. Walking into throughthe front door I was immediately greeted not only by staff but the huge menu too. After studying the menu I decided on thenumber 2 for myself which included, a pork rib, chicken katsu, rice and macaroni salad . My husband also got a number two butwith brisket, kalua pork and a double salad. He enjoyed his plate a lot! The salad was crispy and fresh, the pork and brisketwere super tender and flavorful. As for mine...katsu was nicely breaded and crunchy, the rib was fall off the bone (literally)but the sauce had an acidic background but not a lot of flavor. My sides were rice, which is fluffy and sticky. On it was a typeof teriyaki sauce and wow it was good!! The other was macaroni salad which had a creamy texture but again no flavor. I alsoordered 1 egg role and 1 spam musubi. The egg roll I feel was like something you get when you order chinese and the musubi wasmeh. The musubi rice to meat ratio was way off and the meat was barely on the other side of cooked. Honestly this place has thepotential to be good just have to add seasoning to some stuff. I will be back for the katsu for sure."
