"Went there for our first time yesterday for a date night. We were impressed with the size of the menu, and the options involved with all of the top dollar menu items. It was cool to be able to go to a place where you knew you’d be getting excellent food, but in a more cozy environment than you may expect. "Better late than never in writing a review. My partner and I were in Charlevoix the week of April 10th and had 3 meals at this amazing restaurant. The first was Tuesday for a late lunch. I had the Bada Bing panini and it was amazing. My partner had the Cherry Brie burger and it was delicious as well. She almost ordered a second for later. Since we were going to be out late, we ordered the Judge to take back to the hotel and enjoy once we were done exploring. Since the sandwich had a mustard type sauce, they were kind enough to put it on the side(allergies for one of us) and included mayo for another sauce. This sandwich was huge and we had no problems spitting it and still feeling like we had a full meal. Then on Wednesday my partner wanted crepes, but I chose to go right back and get Scovie's Northern Michigan chicken salad sandwich. It was huge and very delicious. The only thing that would have made it better was if it would have been a panini. I mentioned this and they said I should have asked and they would have done that for me. Their chips were amazing, but I forgot to ask if they were house made or a store chip, either way don't pass them up."

"This was our third visit in 2 months and most likely our last. We had very mediocre food and an increase of at least $6 for the salad bar. My salmon was dry and over cooked but the baked potato was excellent! Our waiter brought us the check before we were even finished with dinner and never gave us an opportunity to order dessert or coffee. Not a great experience. Food: 3"

"I worked here for a very long time as a teenager. Since Terry and Dennis have taken over, it has gone downhill. Teenagers are poorly trained, they can't be bothered to make sure their menus and signs are spelled right. We give it a try every year and it's always a disappointment. "I can 't say enough good things about That French Place! The welcoming atmosphere that Emily and Brian create is tangible the moment you walk through the door. Best coffee in town too. Hot tip: ask Brian to make you a breakfast crepe and when he asks what you want on it just say make it as if it were for yourself . You won 't be disappointed!"
