"This used to be a shabby looking place before they started renovating but they offered a vegan menu long before most of the other places in town did. Luckily they kept that menu although I wouldn 't think it was frequented a lot for the vegan options. Many classic indian dishes, serves vegetarian options as well. No vegan cheese on their pizza but they 're good without, too. Has limited seating but looks relatively hip after renovations took place. Prices are moderate/ cheap and more than legitimate since the servings they offer are quite big. Friendly staff!"

"Great food. Delicious starter, Thai soup and dessert. The service staff are very friendly and advise you on your selection and help perfectly... "on a beautiful evening we wanted to let the day out, but unfortunately this was not possible in this locality; we found a nice table, between others (still free tables)! Then we waited almost 30 min. on an operation, we ordered the drinks and the menus. after some time the drinks came, but no dishes. we waited almost 30 minutes until we spoke to someone who brought us the menus! (now 1 hour in the local ) we ordered our food after approx. 20 minutes the service came to us to tell us that we should wait for our food for almost 1 hour again, as other guests would have preferred.For us, the evening was finished with this, something is not at all!No more again."

"Loved it! Will return! Great concept for this place so I hope the team at Vesttafel can keep it up! The change at Vesttafel really made a very noticeable change. I grew up in Recklinghausen, live in the US and return every now and then. Typically I ignored the Vesttafel but now it will be part of my coming home visits. We (party of 4) had dinner under the stars next to the very nice Engel fountain very special atmosphere! They have themed menus every week, and it was a hit. The Schnitzel as well. One of the best things was the (free) amuse Bouche, the carrot ginger soup. Fantastic! Excellent and attentive service well done!! As I said we will be back!"
