"Although Himmels Pagoda is about a 45 minute drive outside of Berlin, it seems it attracts local Berliners as well as tourists. We were taken there by a relative who lives in Berlin because he thought we would enjoy it. Reservations are a must; the restaurant is always busy. Has the buffet with family, the buffet was not that great, food was extremely salty. Also noticed that the staff sleeps in the basement of the building... Was not impressed at all. Nice building but poor food.

It is big, but separated with wooden walls.So you have a kind of small rooms.The food is very delicious, and the presentation is good.You have the possibility to have your meal a la carte, or till 8 o'clock also as a "all you can eat" buffet.

The building is a replica of the Temple of Heaven in Beijing, China. Food is good, especially the Chinese food. I have been there before and this time I ordered Thai food, and I was not impressed. Way to many different vegetables in the Curry. It seems that they added whatever was cooked to much of ended up in the Thai Curry.Otherwise, all the Chinese dishes we ordered were very good.
