"To summarize, Hong Kong Food Street HKFS can be your humble, go to Chinese restaurant; 4 star suggests I'm likely to go out of my way to come back. Hong Kong Food Street could also be called Hong Kong Stewed Feet, because they did sell chicken feet as well as all kinds of Chinese deliciousness. We have been waiting a couple of years now for them to return or re-open, we were hopeful. They were one of our fave late night options. However, it turns out, they will not be back. It's official now. They will be replaced by a different restaurant and I will post here an update once we know what it is, and it's open. We will miss the food here, especially the delicious congee. They had the best congee in Houston.

I came with a group of around 15 people and the staff was very accommodating and helpful with choosing dishes and trying to fit everything we ordered on the table. We ordered a lot of dishes but the stand out ones were the pork and thousand year egg congee, wonton soup, fried fish, and the warm tofu pudding dessert. I did notice that some of their dishes tasted exactly the same and had the same spices (or lack of spices). Besides the dishes I mentioned above, the rest were pretty bland and seems to only be seasoned with salt or fried. Portion sizes are large but the price is also steep.

Hong Kong Food Street, contrary to its name, is a pretty nicely established restaurant. The look and feel instantly took me back to Canton, and the speed of service? Deserved nods!
