Braced for "you can't leave that there" I was pleasantly surprised to hear "Hello, welcome to Athos. Would you like me to put that in a garage for you? Take your jacket off and I'll get you a beer". Located midway up a small hill a few minutes walk away from the Baden-Baden city centre, this quaint boutique hotel is warm and inviting from the minute you step in. The owner/manager/waiter (not sure which position he has, but whichever it is he is very capable in either role) is extremely friendly and very helpful. He immediately grabbed our 4 luggages and carried them to our room. Then on our last day although he doesn’t use the bus system often when we asked him a question regarding bus timetables, he was very quick to rush off to the nearest bus stop and explain everything to us.
