"Extremely poor service towards customer. Waitress spilled hot water all over my back, did not apologize or give me a new cup, and still tried to charge me. Secondly, they took my order, and then when they brought out everyone else's food, they told me my order is no longer on the menu and can't be made. Finally when I ordered a substitute, they still messed it up, again with no apologies. Instead they had a rude attitude the whole time for no reason. Funny to mention that during all of this another customer was complaining about finding hair in their food."

A good bar. Daily happy hour for cocktails (although it is during the day), decent food at reasonable prices, sport on TV. Just near Niendorf Markt U-bahn station.

My long been due review for Humboldt. Visited Hamburg 2x last year during summer and Christmas time and ate here. They have a very good selection of breakfast and lunch. Food tasted good. Great location. Nice atmosphere.

A fairly average bar in Niendorf. Average food with a long wait. A happy hour in the afternoon (17h) is good for most of the Niendorf residents I suppose. Could be so much better: it has a great location and it's stylish and comfortable. Update: breakfast is OK and reasonably priced.

"I went to this beautiful restaurant with t much anticipation. Because duck... The duck was a little disappointed, I ate much better. Everything else was very nice, especially the reception and the service... thank you. My wife had the menu without a duck and was very satisfied. Also the wine selection, wonderful. I want to come back, but something other than duck."

"we regularly visited the restaurant in the past (1 or 2 times per month.) unfortunately it was more and more common that the dishes were cold, not completely boiled or that the food itself was not in order: bad delivery of ham and incredibly spicy pimientos...de padrón, which caused the burn and problems for 2 days! this happened with at least two tables in the evening (as the delivery was bad) and after the first table had complained about it, they did not automatically tell us about it, but let us eat! they would have prevented the problems of the like for 2 days, but not. everything in all, if something went wrong, the owner never really apologised, offered no compensation and could not be less about the problems, which is why we decided to dig the restaurant of our list of places we regularly visit. the waitresses were usually very friendly and helped more than the owner who is a scandal. all in all: never again."

"This is a tiny sushi bar in an area that food wise is mostly concerned with beer, shots, fat and carbs. Kampai is run by Japanese who know what a sushi bar should feel and taste like. You feel welcome and at home immediately (if there is free space no reservations taken). There is a limited menu, a cold beer, a very short wait, and then ... the sushi, decorated with a few nice touches ... the sushi rice is just perfect in taste, consistency and temperature; that plain salmon nigiri will simply melt in your mouth. Close your eyes, it's so good. What a find, what an oasis in this unlikely neighborhood! It's not a cheap eat, but wow this will enhance your mood by 100° and puts you back to hit the next club. Will be back."
