"Got recommended to visit by the ice cream place in Eberbach, after inquiring about the turkish pizza place across the road. Turns out it was worth the extra from Eberbach. We choose to sit outside, and got served quickly. As soon as we had...ordered two super tasty pieces of calzone were served on the house. We ordered a caprese which was made from buffalo mozzarella and perfectly ripe tomatoes, a pizza of our own choosing (just ask) and a soup and a house pasta dish. All was served quickly, well made, and as decent portions. Would I come again! absolutely. The several Italian customers that were there a the same time, seems to confirm my thoughts: Best Italian in the Odenwald! Grazie Mille"

"Seit wenigen Wochen hat in den ehemaligen Räumlichkeiten des China Restaurant Xing Hua am Neuen Markt das Asia Haus eröffnet. Hier werden Gerichte aus Vietnam, Thailand und China gereicht. Montags bis samstags gibt es zwischen 11:45 und 14:00 Uhr ein Mittagsbuffet (7,20 Euro pro Person), freitags bis sonntags (sowie an Feiertagen) zwischen 18:00 und 21:30 Uhr ein großes Abendbuffet (11,50 Euro pro Person). Gastgeberin Tran Thi Minh Thu sorgt persönlich für das Wohlbefinden ihrer Gäste. Der Service ist herzlich und zuvorkommend. Das Ambiente ein wenig altmodisch. Geschmacklich konnte uns das Asia Haus noch nicht wirklich überzeugen. Hier gibt es deutliches Verbesserungspotenzial. Die thailändische Kokossuppe (Tom Kha Gai) war kaum gewürzt und lies sämtliche Schärfe vermissen. Die gebackenen Wan Tan hingegen waren frisch zubereitet und schmackhaft. Die dazu gereichte Sauce leider ein Fertigprodukt. Die Ente mit Gemüse hätte krosser sein können. Das Gemüse hingegen war knackig auf den Punkt zubereitet. Leider war auch dieses Gericht (mit Kung Pao Sauce) wenig gewürzt und nicht ansatzweise leicht scharf. Alles in allem ein mittelmäßiges Geschmackserlebnis. Es bleibt also abzuwarten, wie sich das Asia Haus in den kommenden Monaten entwickelt und sich die Kritikpunkte zu Herzen nimmt. Potenzial nach oben ist auf jeden Fall vorhanden."

"I came with friends on a Wednesday evening without a reservation and got almost the last table, so I would reccommend booking even during the week. I'm a vegetarian and was happily surprised to find veggie options on the menu sometimes traditional German pubs...don't even have one The veggie schnitzel was great, with chips and salad, can't fault it The drinks were reasonably priced The waiter was the highlight, really friendly and did his best despite being alone on such a busy evening, he was attentive and cracking jokes at the same time. I will definitely be back"
